Privacy Policy
BouncyBits is privacy focused. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or bike data. The platforms we use to distribute the app and host this website do collect some limited data automatically, which we describe honestly below.
Data Controller
The data controller responsible for BouncyBits and this website is Sarah Maguire. You can find full contact details and our legal imprint on the Contact page.
What BouncyBits collects
Nothing. The app does not contain any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting, and has no cloud or server connections.
Where your data is stored
All data you enter into BouncyBits is stored locally on your device, in an on-device database. We do not currently offer any backup, sync, or restore feature, but we reserve the right to add an optional, user-controlled backup and restore feature in the future.
Data collected by the App Store and Google Play
When you install BouncyBits from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms collect some information about installs, devices, and app performance automatically. This data is provided to us in aggregated, anonymised form. For full details, see Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
Data collected by our website host
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To serve and protect the site, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address, user agent, and referrer, and may set strictly-necessary security cookies (for bot protection). Cloudflare also provides us with privacy-first, aggregated page-view analytics that do not use tracking cookies or identify individual visitors. Website traffic may be processed on Cloudflare's global server network.
Email communications
If you contact us via email, your email address and message will be processed by our email provider. We retain these emails only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry.
Third-party services
The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services beyond what the App Store and Google Play collect automatically as described above.
Data deletion and your rights
Under Swiss (FADP) and EU (GDPR) law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because the app stores all data locally on your device and we do not maintain any servers or accounts, we do not hold any of your personal data to access or delete. If you delete the app, all data stored by BouncyBits is permanently deleted from your device. For any data we do hold (such as email correspondence), you may exercise your rights by contacting us.
